It’s been a while since my latest post on this blog. I’ve been working back-to-back on some projects last month. Hopefully everything is doing well. Today is all about Louis Vuitton as you can see from the title. So, I’ve visited Louis Vuitton Time Capsule (#LVTimeCapsule) couple days ago at Senayan City Mall, Jakarta. This exhibition will be available to visit from October 23rd to November 11th 2018 (free admission). I’m so excited when I heard the news that they will exhibit their journey here in Jakarta.
My first impression of the exhibition was it really looked like a spaceship. When I walked in, the ushers welcomed me very nicely and introduced me to their Artisans’ room where the artists usually show the visitors how they works. Unfortunately, I couldn’t saw them directly, but I documented their works.
Then, I walked into the hallway that bring me to the evolution of Louis Vuitton emphasizing to their four key aspects : the key to the codes, journeys around the world, elegance in motion and icons of the House. Here at their exhibition, I gain a lot of new knowledge about the creation of Louis Vuitton. I saw how Louis Vuitton transformed big trunk to their bags, and the materials, then the journeys around the world as well. I believe Louis Vuitton is a visionary man. It has been proved by how he created many trunks which accommodating the era of transportation at that time, for instance. He also offered a new concept of lifestyle to the clients with creating special requests from his clients.
Next stop is the Icons of the House, here you can find the most memorable and symbolic creations of Louis Vuitton. Each of these creations are representing their own era but still emphasizing the characteristic of the brand itself. Moving on to the Magic malle area which had blown my mind away. They put a very big “Malle” or trunk with screens around it in the middle of the room. Then this magic malle bring the visitor to travel back to witness the history of Louis Vuitton.
Last but not least, don’t forget to stop by their postcards machine. They have 8 different postcards, if you want to collect them all. However, I got the limited edition one for their exhibition in Jakarta.
Apparently, I think that’s all I can share. I hope you guys enjoying reading my article about Louis Vuitton Time Capsule here in Jakarta.
