Plaza Indonesia Men’s Fashion Week 2016 Day 3 was giving me so many things to write. The shows that presented their designs on that day were Esmod Jakarta, Parang Kencana and Iwan Tirta Private Collection.
Show 1 : “The Vision” by Esmod Jakarta
Esmod Jakarta is the most well-known school for fashion design and business in Jakarta. It has been graduating so many talented fashion designers then contributing for Indonesian fashion industry. I was so lucky and so excited to see what would happen on that day. Esmod presented the collections of their best students / alumni to the runway. They were 8AM, MOC, Young Woong, Instill, Air Picket, Be Young, DHAN Official, R. Kandiwa, Minus Public, Ulima and Ganuta. When the first design came out, I was so enchanted. So many beautiful , eccentric, high fashion designs were performed on The Vision. I really want to collaborate with them someday for my fashion blog and photo shoot. Congratulations guys, you are all awesome and super talented !
Show 2 : “Ikemen” by Parang Kencana
The defition of Ikemen in Japanese is a good-looking man. Before the show, I was guessing the show will be Japanese from the theme and also the background music. But, I didn’t guess that all models will have all white make up on their face. They also had sharp eyeliners to add the Japanese impression to the show. Moreover, they presented many kinds of kimonos on batik pattern, what? It was really pleasing to the eyes. Love the concept of the show and of course the collections.
Show 3 : “Swatantra” by Iwan Tirta Private Collection
Swatantra means independent, free, and autonomy. This time Iwan Tirta Private Collection tried to reveal the ancient “Nitik” . It was known as one of the very first batik pattern which has been preserved by the maestro, Iwan Tirta. I felt the elegancy and also the strong character from the collections that presented on that day. Each models look amazing on the Swatantra collection with beautiful accessories by the one and only Mr. Rinaldy A. Yunardi. For me, the collections were really high fashion batik and international caliber. I also love when our traditional heritage become these beautiful and amazing.
